Grow features
It is a tetraploid type of festulolium cross of the Italian ryegrass variety but with better hardiness. The yield is high with fairly high sugar content. Perun is used for silage as a pure crop or mixed with other cereals (perennial ryegrass, festulolium cross of tall fescue variety) and red clover. In such mixtures, Perun participates with a high yield of dry matter – especially in 1-2 years of harvest – with very good quality. The variety is characterized by fast rooting, early spring regrowth, good disease resistance.
