Investments in the construction of a new plant in the Kursk region amounted to 847 million rubles. Automated equipment makes the enterprise the most modern in Russia and guarantees the highest level of seed purification (more than 99%), which means crop yields and the quality of final products. The center opens up wide opportunities for import substitution of planting material and will allow not only to completely cover the company's needs for seeds, but also to offer the market high-quality seed material of the latest varieties of domestic breeding.

The company's first seed breeding center specializing in perennial herbs was opened in 2020 in the Orel region. It provides a reliable feed base for the company's livestock, reducing the cost of meat products, and also supplies the market with conditioned seeds of perennial herbs and herbal mixtures.

The development of breeding in crop production, reducing dependence on imports is a strategic task for the food security of the Russian Federation and an important component of Miratorg's business strategy. The agroholding has been engaged in crop production for more than 15 years, and the company's sown areas of grain and leguminous crops amount to about 450 thousand hectares. The company's accumulated experience in crop production, coupled with the most modern complex for part-time work and seed treatment, will allow the plant to reach full capacity utilization in 2023.

"The Miratorg project demonstrates an effective approach when, in a short time, based on the company's experience, a breakthrough is made in the basic and most complex branch of agriculture – breeding. The center will work not only on the development of the holding's projects, but will also allow developing cooperation between crop production enterprises, processing and etching material for a wide range of customers. As a result, domestic crop production will be able to reduce dependence on imported planting material for cereals and legumes, while increasing efficiency, and significantly increase seed exports in the medium term," said Viktor Linnik, President of the Miratorg Agricultural Association.

"Miratorg has established itself as a reliable investment partner. The company is actively implementing important directions, especially in the current economic conditions. In 2022, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Viktor Linnik, president of the agro-industrial holding, signed an investment agreement on the creation of a breeding and seed center, and today we are launching the enterprise. I am sure that the complex will provide a multiplier effect in the regional economy and open up opportunities for new projects to recreate the seed production system in Russia," said Roman Starovoit, Governor of the Kursk Region.
