Miratorg employees have grown almost 2 tons of vegetables in the backyard of a meat and meat slaughterhouse in the Kursk region

Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, zucchini, greens and more. The idea to create an eco-garden arose from the employees of the meat and meat factory a year ago. For these purposes, they, on their own initiative, allocated a small plot of about 14 acres, planted seedlings and soon harvested the first harvest. In 2023, the case was continued: the site was divided into two parts, responsible people were assigned to each and the competition of teams was launched.

From spring to late autumn, work was in full swing on the site: preparing the soil, planting crops, weeding, hoeing, watering and picking fresh vegetables. The harvest was transferred to the canteen at the factory for cooking dinners. Grown with your own hands is always tastier. The results of the work were recorded monthly. According to the results of the season, one of the teams collected 1008 kg of products, the second — 976 kg.

Cabbage has become the absolute leader in yield among vegetables. Both teams have grown more than 600 kilograms of white cabbage. It was pickled according to Miratorg's proprietary recipe, turning it into a real storehouse of vitamin C for the prevention of seasonal diseases.
