Miratorg increased its staffing numbers in Kaliningrad Region by 23% in 2016
Kaliningrad, 2nd
September. Miratorg - Russia's largest producer of main kinds of meat, announced that prompted by the enormous output in its Kaliningrad Region facilities, staffing numbers rose by 23% since the beginning of the 2016 calendar year – now totalling 1400 employees.
Miratorg began its vertically-integrated meat production business from scratch, using its business model 'from field to fridge'. The company's operations in Kaliningrad Region include arable land and cattle pastures, cattle farms, Russia's largest operation for the production of meat ready-meals and convenience foods, a logistics and distribution operation. In autumn of last year the first Miratorg own-brand shop opened in Kaliningrad.
Miratorg is expanding its operations in Kaliningrad Region. The increase in its staffing levels in the Region is prompted by investment of 230 million roubles for the expansion of output capacity at its Miratorg West plant, and the construction of new farms operated by Miratorg division in Kaliningrad.
Zhanna Malkova, CEO of Miratorg division in Kaliningrad, said “Miratorg is expanding dynamically in Kaliningrad Region. The output capacity of Miratorg division in Kaliningrad operation expands every year, as the company develops new product lines, and invests capital into the growth of production potential. Miratorg division in Kaliningrad is increasing the number of cattle farms, expanding its land holdings, and stepping up the pace at which fallow land is brought back into circulation. All these activities create a lot of work, and so we have to increase staff numbers.”
