Miratorg harvests record soya bean crop of 147 thousand tons in Belgorod and Kursk regions
Belgorod, October 24 - Miratorg Agribusiness Holding, Russia’s leading meat producer, reports it harvests record soya bean crop of 147 thousand tons in Belgorod and Kursk regions – a 44% increase from the previous year.
Miratorg is Russia’s largest vertically integrated agricultural producer establishing a business model “from field to fork”. Crop production plays a key role in a value-chain providing raw materials for Miratorg feedstuff plants to supply high-quality animal feed to farms. Not only it helps to control the cost of meat production but ensures high-quality and safety of products.
Soya bean is a valuable source of protein, group B vitamins, microelements and essential polyunsaturated fatty acids. The company processes soya bean at its feed mill in Belgorod region producing soya bean meal and soya oil – basic components for healthy animal nutrition.
Miratorg allotted around 53 thousand hectares, about a third of its cropland, for soya beans production in 2018, which is 6% more than in the previous year. The company achieved a prominent result as yields went up to 27.54 dt/ha, which is higher than the average for the region. Miratorg routinely uses sophisticated technologies and precision agriculture as well as natural organic fertilizers to be more efficient, safer, and more environmentally friendly.
