Miratorg has invested 230 million roubles in expanding the production capacity of its own-brand marbled-beef hamburgers
Kaliningrad, 18th August, 2016. Miratorg, Russia's leading beef producer, has announced that due to booming consumer demand, it will invest a further 230 million roubles in refitting its production lines for its own-brand marbled-beef hamburgers. This will raise the production ceiling at the company's production facility by 8%, to a total of 86,000 tonnes per year.
Miratorg created a vertically-integrated production system for popular kinds of meat in Russia, using its business model of “from field to fridge”. The company's Kaliningrad production facility Miratorg division in Kaliningrad leads the Russian market in the production of frozen ready-meals and convenience food. At the facility's five high-tech production lines it produces more than 200 kinds of branded products. During 2016 the facility will put out over fifty-two thousand tonnes of food products.
Prompted by the expanded production lines under the 'Miratorg' own brand, and the booming consumer market for this variety of product, the company took the decision to boost its production capacity, and add a whole extra parallel line to the present one, and increasing the level of production automation of the food production process.
Zhanna Malkova, CEO of Miratorg division in Kaliningrad, said “Miratorg division in Kaliningrad never rests on its laurels. In this year alone, we increased the range of products we produce by 12% - we now have 208 different branded products. Meeting increased consumer demand is our top priority. Ready-to-cook Miratorg-brand hamburgers are a uniquely Russian product, which are currently the main innovation of this season. We now produce six different kinds of hamburger, including marbled beef hamburgers. Figuring on the increasing sales figures for this product, we decided to modernise the production line, and increase output”.
