Miratorg has launched production of hamburgers made from stewed beef
Kaliningrad, 12th August 2016. Miratorg division in Kaliningrad – the Russian leader in the production of frozen ready meals and ready meals – has announced that due to increased consumer demand for ready-to-eat hamburgers, this range of food will be broadened to include a new variety. The new hamburgers will be made from stewed marbled beef – and additionally from stewed chicken, and pork.
Miratorg built a vertically-integrated production system for main meat types in Russia from scratch, using its business model “from the field to the fridge”. Today, Miratorg holds the lead position in the production of pork and beef in Russia. Production of ready-to-eat hamburgers from stewed meat involved the use of only top-quality raw in-house ingredients – which are provided by Miratorg meat-producing facilities in Belgorod and Bryansk Regions.
Stewed meat is a unique product on the Russian market, which finds a demand both on the Russian domestic market, and similarly for export. The time-consuming process involved in creating stewed meat takes more than four hours of cooking at temperatures of 90 degrees – to give that special, tender taste. The product was previously available as a separate item – but consumer demand has prompted the launch of the new range of ready-to-eat hamburgers.
Zhanna Malkova, CEO of Miratorg division in Kaliningrad, said “Consumer demand has prompted the growth of new products. Stewed meat is a popular product – both as it is, and as ready-to-eat hamburgers – so we took the decision to combine these two popular high-quality products. This means that very soon, retail outlets will be featuring a completely new kind of hamburger, made from stewed beef. There will also be hamburgers made from stewed chicken, pork, and marbled beef, which have no competitors of any kind on the Russian market.”
