Miratorg held its third All-Russian Rodeo
Bryansk, 12th September. Miratorg, Russia's largest beef producers, announced that it held its third All-Russian Rodeo in Bryansk Region, in which cowboys from Bryansk, Orlovsk and Kaliningrad Regions took part.
Miratorg built a vertically-integrated system of top-quality beef production in Russia from scratch – which provides for beef production based on Aberdeen Angus cattle stock of more than 400 thousand head of herd on Russian farms. More than 1000 Russian cowboys work for Miratorg over 55 farms spread over Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Smolensk, Orel, Kaluga and Tula Regions. Their work involves grazing animals on semi-natural pasture over the period from April to November or December, as well as driving the herd to winter pasture, and care for the Aberdeen Angus animals.
The quality of the marbled beef steak which comes off the animals begins on the farm, and the cowboys' main work is in raising healthy cows over twelve months, with the minimum degree of disturbance in their lives while grazing.
“We have over a thousand cowboys, who face difficult work – so professional holidays need to be well-supported and provided for” said the President of Miratorg, Mr Viktor Linnik.
