Miratorg increased sales by 17% to 683 thousand tons in 2016
Moscow, January 31st – Miratorg, the leading operator of the meat market of Russia, reports an increase of sales by 17% to 683 thousand tons in 2016 against 583 thousand tons in 2015.
Poultry meat production
“Bryansky Broiler”, the holding’s poultry arm produced more than 102, 2 thousand tons of poultry which by 37% exceeds the result of 2015. The production chain includes the hatchery for 75 million eggs, 19 poultry and broiler production farms. The total poultry flock on “Bryansky Brolier” farms exceeds 6,3 million head.
In 2017 Miratorg plans to produce 119 thousand tons of poultry. The Company is also intended to expand the distribution of this type of meat and to increase the export supplies. The enterprise was attested for supplies to the European Union, Serbia, the UAE, Iran and a number of other countries.
Pork production
Miratorg is the largest producer of pork in Russia and increases output of products due to enhancement of efficiency and improvement of the production processes. In 2016 the production of pork in live weight for slaughter increased by 6, 2% to 409 thousand tons. SK Korocha , the holding’s pork unit and the largest meat processing complex in the country has been operating at full capacity and processed 3,34 million head of pigs in 2016.
Pork production in carcass weight amounted to 323,6 thousand tons which by 6% exceeds the indicator of 2015. The production of products in the consumer package grew with outstripping rates: 57,8 thousand tons which is by 23% more than one year earlier.
Beef production
Miratorg substantially increased production of beef in the country’s largest meat processing complex in Bryansk region to 62,14 thousand tons against 40,5 thousand tons in 2015. In 2017 the Holding plans to produce 75 thousand tons of beef.
The total number of cattle of the specialized beef breed Aberdin Angus on the Company farms in Bryansk, Kaliningrad, Orel, Kaluga, Smolensk and Tula regions increased to 436 thousand head.
In 2016 Miratorg started up new farms within the framework of the extension of the interregional project thus increasing the number of cattle farms by 20% to 61. Following the results for the year, the Company got the calf crop of 145 thousand calves – the largest one in the history of the sub-industry of specialized beef cattle breeding in Russia.
The Holding introduced into agricultural turnover more than 57 thousand ha of fallow lands. Following the results for the year, the Company produced 3,5 million tons of roughage and succulent feed which by 75% exceeds the indicator of 2015.
Miratorg actively invests in expansion of the name-brand beef products line. The Company started production of chilled beef sausages, launched production of the alternative steaks from marbled beef “ Top Blade” and “ Chuck Royal” as well as of the portion steaks “Fillet-Mignon” from marbled “Prime” beef , expended its range of beef products from beef for roasting and grilling in marinades.
Production of semi-finished products
Miratorg – Zapad increased production of frozen semi-finished products and ready-to-eat meals by 27% to 43 thousand tons. The largest producer of frozen semi-finished meat products with the total capacity of 80 thousand tons of products per year, it produces more than 150 product names and is the key supplier for the international networks of restaurants in Russia. The plant was also attested for supplies to the foreign markets.
The Company consistently implements the strategy of production increase and expansion of the range of products to meet the demand for qualitative meat semi-finished products and ready-to-eat meals both in the HoReCa segment (restaurants, hotels, catering companies) and in the retail market. Miratorg additionally invested more than 1 billion rubles in the increase in capacity of the enterprise and installation of new hi-tech lines which allow production of unique for the Russian market products.
Crop production
Miratorg increased the gross output of grain crops (including corn for grain and soy) to 1,322 million tons against 764,1 thousand tons in 2015. Consistent implementation of the efficiency increase strategy as well as implementation of precision agriculture techniques allowed making the best use of favorable weather conditions and achieving record yields in a number of the kea crops. The average yield amounted to 54,12 dt/ha ( including soy) against the corresponding indicator of 2015 in 44, 7 dt/ha .
