Miratorg invests 2,7 billion rubles in the biggest dairy cattle infrastructure project in Kursk region
Kursk, February 21- Miratorg, Russia's largest beef producer, informs that it has launched Russia’s biggest infrastructure project for raising and feeding of dairy cattle young stock with a capacity of 30 thousand head per year. The company invests over 2,7 billion rubles and expects to sell its first high quality rose veal in the third quarter of 2017/
The Holding has launched the facility on the basis of “Blagodatenskaya” dairy farm which it bought in 2015 as the pilot project that unites two branches of activity- the production of milk and the production of dairy cattle young stock. After studying the best world practices there was made a decision to expand the project and develop the infrastructure: specialized hi-tech farms for raising and feeding dairy cattle young stock.
Miratorg plans to invest additionally over 5 billion rubles in increasing the capacity of the production site up to 100 thousand head per year that will allow substantial increasing the production high quality veal as well as increasing the production of milk and increasing the efficiency of the Central Federal District ‘s dairy industry.
“Efficiency and competitive ability of the dairy industry are directly determined by a developed value creation chain, minimized losses at all the production stages and a wide range of the end products including both meat and milk. Miratorg’s infrastructure project will allow increasing the production of milk and reducing its production costs due to receiving of the high quality by- product- veal. The project is specific with the highest level of technological processes of dairy cattle young stock that allows ensuring the European level of calves safety as well as the products quality control”, Miratorg Press Service comments
