Miratorg launches the vegetable project and plants winter garlic in Tula region
Tula, September 11 – Miratorg, the leading producer of frozen vegetables mixtures in Russia, informs that it launches the project of growing and processing vegetables in Tula region – the company has already planted winter garlic and plans to further expand operations next spring.
Miratorg is the largest investor in Russia’s agro-industrial complex with over 200 bln rubles of investments to build from the scratch the vertically integrated production of main types of meat. Now the company sets up a new project for vegetables growing and processing. Investment contract with administration of Tula region was signed in February 2018 on Sochi Investment Forum . The company plans to invest 6.4 bln rubles in vegetables production.
Miratorg utilizes advanced European experience and technologies of soil cultivation for planting, as well as equipment setting and planting material preparation. At the first stage the crop area in the Plavskiy district of Tula region will be more than 200 hectares.
“The project is launched – we plan to harvest garlic 0in July 2019. On the next stage we will plant potato, onion, table beetroot and carrot/ The company will also start building of vegetable processing plant to produce a wide range of case-ready products” – Miratorg press-service says.
