Miratorg launches three new cattle farms in Bryansk Oblast

Bryansk, March 3. Agribusiness Holding Miratorg, the leading operator of Russian meat market has launched three new farms in Vygonichsky, Pochepsky and Klimovsky districts of Bryansk Oblast for breeding beef cattle as part of an interregional project. The supply of animals to the new farms has been carried out using the company’s own livestock.
New sites named Malfa, Milech and Foevichi are high-technology complexes for animal housing. Malfa and Foevichi are maternal farms where the raising is performed according to “cow-calf” principle. Milech is a backgrounding farm where heifers that have reached the age of six months are brought in for subsequent preparation for insemination and birth of calves.
The farms were launched at the end of 2021, the cattle started to be brought to Malfa and Foevichi farms in December, to Milech farm in January, 2022. Filling the farms with cattle should be completed in March. New farms provide more than 80 jobs in the countryside and more than 3.4 million rubles of personal income tax per year when the farms reach full capacity.
The company has been running the beef cattle project in the territory of Bryansk Oblast since 2011. The region became a starting spot for an interregional cattle breeding project currently being implemented in Bryansk, Oryol, Kaluga, Smolensk, Tula and Kaliningrad Oblasts. During this time the Holding has built from scratch a full beef production cycle – from growing crops to deep meat processing. Full cycle of production and logistics services allows to perform the quality control at all levels.
Assets of the interregional project include 108 cattle farms, 54 of which are located in Bryansk Oblast, 4 feedlots and an automated complex for slaughter and processing of cattle with a capacity of 272 thousand tonnes of products per year, which became a subject of step-by-step modernization.
For construction new farms and supply of facilities with feed within the framework of the project the company in the last five years has put into agricultural turnover more than 70.2 thousand hectares of land, whereof more than 54 thousand hectares were overgrown with tree and shrubbery vegetation. The company will bring back into use more than 12 thousand hectares in 2022. “Launching of new farms is due to the increasing of cattle population. This year the Agribusiness Holding will get an unprecedented calf crop for Russian beef cattle breeding industry, more than 309 thousand calves. The company creates additional jobs in the countryside, returns abandoned land to the crop rotation, pays taxes. Further plans are related to the increase in the number of livestock to 1 million heads on existing farms of the interregional project. Thus, Miratorg brings closer the solution of the issue of providing the country with high-quality ecologically pure beef produced in Russia,” the ABH Miratorg’s press service commented.
