“Miratorg” to invest 4,8 billion rubles in the biggest feed mill in Orel region
Oryol, May 20th – “Miratrog” , Russia’s major feedstuff producer, invests 4,8 billion rubles in the construction of a hi-tech feed mill in Oryol region with an annual capacity of 800 thousand tons by the end of 2019.
Miratrog, the country’s No. 1 pork producer, considers Oryol region as the key to unfurl its plan of doubling pork production. The company has recently announced it will set up pork operations here with 17 pig complexes, a grain production company, an elevator group as well as the feed mill.
The production of own feed meals plays a key role in the agribusiness holding’s vertically- integrated chain: it allows not only to control high quality meat obtaining , but positively contributes to decreasing its self-cost.
Miratorg schedules a start of construction of the feed mill in Oryol region for the third quarter of 2018. The new mill will be located in the territory of Kromy district. The mill will utilize grain from holding’s fields in Oryol region.
“The construction of the new feed mill is a part of a large-scale project which will have an important social-economic meaning for the region. Launching of just one feed mill production in Kromy district will allow to create about 160 new jobs in the countryside, ensure additional tax revenues to the local budget as well as expands the region consolidated budget taxation base. Totally, more than 1000 people are planned to be provided with jobs under the pig farming division doubling project in the territory of Oryol region”, the agribusiness holding press-service commented.
